Morning Elrine, Thank you to you and the Thaba team for all the hard work and assistance in making last night a success. We had wonderful feedback about your venue from delegates and the client. Everything went well and all in all we were very happy with it. My only suggestion for future events in that venue is that because of the distance of the kitchen serving and clearing takes quite a bit of time. Thank you for an absolute wonderful day – i was really stressing with the organizing of the event but felt 100% relaxed with all that pertained to TYB Your staff with special mention of Elrine is really what makes TYB an absolute wonderful venue for any function – yes the setting is lovely, the food delicious, the accomodation should be rated as 5*, but your staff are exceptional. well done – thanks , and for sure the next time round i will be in contact – the only problem is to better ourselves for the next time – very difficult to achieve. All our guests were “over the moon” with the food, setting, accommodation and our launch – some of which have stated that it’s been the best launch they have ever attended.

Please could you pass on the compliments to the kitchen, the food was excellent, I had so many compliments on the way the food was presented and decorated it was really beautiful. The taste and texture of the food was of extreme high standards, and the deserts were a treat. Everything went according to plan – thank you all for making my day exceptional. Please could you pass this compliment on, I forgot to mention Rogen in my last email, and feel that he must get the recognition as well that he deserves. Rogen did an excellent job with the managing of our bar, and was exceptionally polite and helpful with the guests. Rogen made sure that he confirmed what drinks would be allowed before guests “just ordered on the tab”, he was extremely tactful when approaching guests with this, he has a very polite, positive, way in handling situations. Candice again I can only applaud Rogen’s service at my function. Please could you ensure that this is passed on to the correct person in order for Rogen to get the accolade. Just one suggestion that I would like to recommend is that you have the security guards informing guests where to go, or to mark the functions by means of using sign posts or boards in order for the guests to know where they are going. “Hi Pieter, Great service – it’s the little things. I was on conference at Thaba. After a great conference (in really good location and facilities), my car would not start – it was the battery. Thaba’s staff really rose to the occasion. Taryn at reception found a staff member with jumper cables and they tried to jump start my car. My battery was really flat and I needed to buy a new one. She then called round for me to find a battery center/service. In the mean time, another staff member Rogan, helped me remove my battery to have it replaced. He also volunteered to help me put in the replaced battery. Thank you to both Rogan and Taryn for their assistance – it definitely helped reduce my stress levels. Your customer service was great and I would definitely recommend your service and facilities to my colleagues and friends”

“Goeie dag, Ons het toe Maandagaand in Thaba oorgebly in die nuwe aangeboude eenhede. Wat ‘n ondervinding. Dit is absoluut stunning! Die eenhede is ongelooflik grand en bevat ALLES wat ‘n traveller nodig het – tot ‘n flitslig, Peaceful sleep en Doom. Die kamers is super smart en enorm. Die badkamer is groot genoeg om in te dans! Op aankoms wag ‘n heerlike bottel rooi wyn en vrugte vir jou. Die koffie, ens is meer as genoeg met koekies. Hulle het tot ‘n I-Pod stand met speakers. Die beste van als is dat jy die vensters van hoek tot kant kan oopmaak vir vars lug en net so slaap en die bos voor jou sien. (Ek is mos ‘n Kapenaar en soek die vars lug (van die see) permanent). Dis net die goggas en muskiete wat gepla het. Dalk kan ek voorstel dat hulle dit oorweeg om nette voor die vensters te installeer. Dit sal seker die enigste klagte wees as ek mag kla. Hulle “attention to detail” is meer as 5 ster – en onthou, ek het al oral gebly en kan met gemak sê dat nie een plek waar ek al gebly het kan kompeteer met Thaba nie. Die ongelooflike tuin en bos uitlegte het soveel detail met hulle potte en watervalletjies voor elke eenheid. Ek gaan probeer om Aurecon se Marketing Bestuurder te oorreed om een aand daar te gaan oorbly. Hy is nog op honeymoon! – en hy reel al ons Global en local events, bv conferences, bosberade, ens. Hy bly in Gauteng. Hulle is ook so baie behulpsaam en professioneel, ag ek kan doodeenvoudig niks verkeerd sien van Thaba nie en kannie wag om weer daar te gaan bly nie. Hulle pryse is ook baie, baie goed (R1300,00 pp per nag B&B) en ek hoop hulle hou dit so. Ek moes Dinsdagaand noodgedwonge in OR Tambo City Lodge oorbly teen R1100,00 pp per nag. Geen room service, bar, ens nie en die kamers was super flou met ‘n klein plastic showertjie. Geen koekies of enigiets nie!
