Bridging the Distance Gap
For many rural residents, accessing SASSA services has meant traveling long distances, often requiring expensive transport and taking valuable time away from work or family responsibilities. These new offices aim to eliminate this barrier.
"We recognize that distance should never be an obstacle to accessing the social support you're entitled to. These new offices will serve communities that previously had to travel 50 kilometers or more to reach their nearest SASSA service point."
New Office Locations
The 15 new offices are strategically located across provinces with the greatest need:
- Eastern Cape: 4 new offices in rural districts
- Limpopo: 3 new offices serving remote communities
- KwaZulu-Natal: 3 new offices in underserved areas
- Mpumalanga: 2 new offices
- North West: 2 new offices
